Algonquin Bridge is pleased to have been selected to design and supply a total of seven bridges for Ottawa’s Light Rail Transit (LRT) Stage 2 Expansion currently underway with the Kiewit Eurovia Vinci, Ottawa Partnership. This is one of our largest projects to date and we are proud of our teams for carrying it off successfully. Take a tour of all seven bridges in various stages of installation in this July 2023 video or just scroll through the images below.

67 m Pedway at Algonquin Station
Also on the West Extension, this Pedway was provided in four sections and will provide a safe connection between the upgraded station and Algonquin College.
73 m Pedway at Trim Station
Located at Trim Road and OR 174 on the O-Train East Extension, this enclosed Pedway will connect the upgraded station to local buses and parking.
84 m Pedway at Place d’Orleans Station
Work continues on decking, railings and glazing on this connection by the Place d’Orleans Shopping Centre on the O-Train East Extension. The enclosed pedways will be climate-controlled.
